For the Christians, I wish you a holy, blessed, and meaningful Good Friday and Holy Weekend. (Not applicable to the Orthodox Christians, as Easter doesn’t come until after Passover on the Orthodox calendar, and Passover is late this year.) And for everyone, here’s another song with “live” in the title. #3: The House You Live In - Gordon Lightfoot Linda? Probably not…this has a country vibe to it. If anyone is surprised that Gordon Lightfoot is on this list, I need to talk to you. This is one of Gord’s songs that a lot of people owned…they just didn’t know it. You see, it was released as the B-side to “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” As it was half the length of the A-side, time-wise, there was probably a lot of dead vinyl space on it. And not only was it the “other side” of one of Lightfoot’s most memorable songs on the 45, its message is a happy and upbeat one filled with positive philosophy (“the house you live in will never fall down if you pity the stranger who stands at your gate”). Gord was one of the greatest songwriters of his era. Of course he’d be on this list. The House You Live In Written by Gordon Lightfoot Recorded by Gordon Lightfoot From Summertime Dream, 1976 All bets must be laid:

as expected. . . slope! Love TK's cover of "Sundown" at the Incognito Bandito concert. What a show.

I can see you looking fast in your faded “slopes.”

I don’t think any DJs turned the record over in this case.

Such a likable fellow he was. Not my favorite that he did, but I do like it.

I find myself going to his sad songs a lot, but now and then I like upbeat tunes like this one.
