I hope you folks are doing so well wherever you are around the globe.
This is a very great night here in Kenya with everything thriving here and there.
Today it had rained for the whole day. l am however very grateful that the planting would start immediately.
So there are so many people that are really battling with life to the extent of missing meals.
The situation is very worse especially to the unemployed and the poor.
l have had so many sleeplessness nights without food for quite a long time in the past years.
lts a very pathetic situation.
Have you ever missed a meal due to the financial constraints?
Good day/ night

I am a frugal cook, and can stretch food to make it if I have to. There are times when there isn't a lot of choices for some people here, they eat what they can get due to the ridiculous prices on food. Honestly, the prices go up every single week, it's just ridiculous. I am sorry, I worry a lot about people who just don't have enough to eat.

No. I know how to make food and money streach. In the two months George was in the hospital, I barely had to go shopping and get food. Even now I have a weeks or more worth on hand.

I found myself in this position and even now I need to be careful with money because it does not grow on trees. I've learned about very cheap foods like beans that are filling and cheap. Can you get beans and sorghum? Very healthy and cheaper food.

I have had money problems during my life but never to that extent. It is a pity and a shame that while some people have too much, others have too little.

At least you got the rain you were waiting for, sounds like the rainy season has begun!
I guess I'm very lucky I've never gone hungry. I can always rely on family and, if I'm able to put my pride aside, ask for help to the local community. Strangers might not want to give you cash but if you're genuinely hungry and all you need is some food, people are usually eager to help.
Definitely something to be thankful for.

Thank God, no, I haven’t ever been that poor. It may have just been a can of soup, but I’ve always had food.

Yes I have. It has happened to me too. But I'm glad I have a job now even if it is just for one year.
I'm sorry you are experiencing that too.
