I'm for Scotland on Friday. I have no great affection for the place (sorry) but one of our daughters lives there and we miss her. She went to university there when she was 18 and she never came home. She's 27 now and loves Edinburgh and a man and they've just bought an apartment. Then after five days there we'll be taking the train down to Manchester to see another daughter who left home as 18 to go to university and never came home. She loves Manchester and a man. They have two children. Then we'll come back here and go off for a short holiday in Donegal to recover from all the hustle of planes and trains and strange cities. There's nothing can beat slowness and quietness.

And our son went to Ireland at 20 something and never came home. He has a wife, two cats (make that one. The other was put down a week or so ago) and now a house.

Hope you have a great time with your daughters. Travelling is always refreshing, hope you get good weather. Donegal seemed familiar, and then I saw you are from Ireland!
