Do you paint or have you ever? I surely would love to once again. I oil painted even as a teen. I was really enthusiastic about it back then and won an art contest too. It was a lovely cottage in Ireland with the green and the ocean behind it I painted.

I don’t think I ever painted before. I would love to. I can’t really draw though. So how can I paint if I can’t draw? Unless I can take an existing drawing and then paint over it.

@lovebuglena Near you, it says Michaels or Barnes and Nobles for a start. I guess you don't have Walmart nearby.

Yes, I used to paint when I was a kid. Now my therapist suggested I paint. But I am not in the mood.

@dya80dya There is not a way for me to force myself, I mean I have tried, but..it does not work, so now I no longer try to force.

@RebeccasFarm I wonder if we should force ourselves to do things we enjoy. Have you tried this? I forced myself and it helped me, but not always.

I hope you will paint again! I did watercolor in my childhood - but in college I discovered I like acrylic. I loved the smell of oil painting . . . I was just too impatient for it to dry .

@RebeccasFarm Often it took days. I tried to cheat a project that I did the night before it was due . . . used a blow dryer but of course that didn't work .

Is that your painting? It is really lovely. It's a pity if you can't/don't paint now. My mother was good at art but not me.

Wow...love your painting. And the flowers are awesome! Always wanted to paint, but haven't since the 7th grade except paint by number. My mother painted some beautiful pictures, mostly on Velvet. But you have talent..keep painting. Wish I could paint like that.

@RebeccasFarm Ok...would love to see some of YOUR paintings. I have a paint by numbers painting, been sitting in my office for over a year, just can't get up the confidence to paint it...been over 30 years since I painted even plaster crafts.
