Well, I hadn’t done a post about it officially because I knew I’d cry, and I am. Friday, I found out my 35 year old cousin, Casey, was found dead in his home by his dad. They suspect it was a heart attack as he was 6’6 and 350 pounds. He was a gentle giant, who loved to play the guitar, loved his family, and loved Jesus. Everyone was kind of stunned, and of course, no one is more broken up than his mom. My dad (Casey’s uncle) has been asked to do the funeral, and I know that’s going to be hard for him to do. It’s just another reminder to hug a little tighter, forgive a little quicker, and love a little more freely. Thank you to those of you who gave me their condolences the past few days; I appreciate it and you.

Honestly, I know the knee-jerk reaction is to say I'm sorry. But, I can't. As for someone who knows loss all to well. I know there's nothing I could say that hasn't been or won't be said. I just know, that you'll get through this. Be free to take all the time you need. Loss is never easy.

Oh, Amber, I am so sorry I missed the news about your cousin! I know you and your family are heartbroken. It's a comfort to know he's in heaven with Jesus, but it doesn't keep you from missing him. I'll be praying for God's comfort and peace for you all.
