If you are unable to take a vacation, what do you typically do?

I am very open with my supervisor about how upset I am if, for any reason, I am unable to take the vacation I would like. I'm not happy, but I keep doing my job as well as I can since that's what's expected of me. This has occasionally happened, but I've always been able to persuade the company to provide me some time off at a later time. What do you usually do if you cannot take a vacation?

I stay home, enjoy walking in the park and woods around us and work in our garden.

If I really cannot take a long vacation, I can just hike with my novel and read under a pine tree.

If i met such a case,probably i will quarrel with boss,and tell him i will quit job without vacation.We are working hard,however we should enjoy suitable vacation meanwhile.Humanity isn't machine,we need vacation to relax.

We do fun things around where we live. We can go hiking, fishing, having fun on a boat. Go see the waterfall here and see covered bridges. There is a zoo, museum and wildlife to enjoy.

Since I am living in the mountains, I wish I could go to a nearby beach. I hope I could go fishing and have not tried this.

I'm retired, so being denied a vacation isn't an issue. I rarely took a vacation while I worked, though I did take my time off.

I was offered to work in another city. It was a good chance for me to explore the world again. However, I turned down it because I was tired of doing community projects in isolated areas. I do hope that when I reach retirement age, I can still travel freely and without any shortcomings.

I am fortunate to live near the ocean and can go on the beach. When I'm there it's like being on vacation.

I often have to wish we didn't have to go anywhere on our days off :( My daughters love to go out. But I just want to stay at home quietly, cook and play some simple games...

It was my dream to travel with my mom. Unfortunately, she traveled to meet my old man in heaven. I am not whining about it because she is in a better place now. Traveling with my immediate family will be great. With perfect timing, it will happen, and I am working on it. I hope that before the end of this summer vacation, we can do it.
