George and I just got back from Best Buy. We found a real nice set and they'll haul away the old pair. Hate to have to get rid of both, but by doing so we'll save a good two hundred. The pair was only 1,400 with tax, warenty, haul away, delivery and install. I think that's a pretty good deal. Each unit was only around 200 more than I paid 8 years ago. so, there's that. I think t'at's a pretty good deal considering inflation.
George commented it felt nice to get out. I think he's starting to feel couped up. He tells people, when I order rides, he'll be driving next month. I have my fingers crossed he will.

No. You've missed a lot. George was discharged from in-patient rehab on January 5th. We had about a month of in-home out-patient therapy. Now we're recovering slowly but surely. Next goal, driving.

Glad you were able to get the washer and dryer. Glad that George enjoyed getting out. I certainly hope he will be driving soon. Word of warning he might enjoy driving so much that it will be hard to get him out of the truck. Then again as long as he is back to doing what he enjoys.

A lot of places don't do haul away. I'm thankful that not only does Best Buy do it, but the employee who helped us, brought it up instead of me asking.

Sounds like you got a good deal at Best Buy especially with the delivery, install and haul away. George wanting to be out is a really good sign. Hopefully he'll be able to get back to driving.

He's completely able to drive, but we keep being told a doctor needs to okay it. Which makes no sense, because there isn't suspension or anything on his licence. No one knows he has had the stroke. We're just playing by the rules.

@kaylachan that's kind of strange having to have a doctor okay George for driving. But, I guess it's better to be safe and have the doctor know George is in good shape to drive. Certainly don't want to take any chances
