A few days ago I bought basil. Until a couple of years ago, I bought a big plant and had enough to make enough pesto for the whole years. Now everything is expensive. And they sell parts of a plant at very high prices. So I must not let it rot. So this evening I will use my mini pimer ( I call it my magic arm) and make some pesto with it. I hope that the amount of pesto I´ll make will be enough to last me for the year. Now I don´t have young grandchildren around. They loved pesto with spaghetti. See you later.

Do you freeze the pesto?

I freeze it and use it the whole year.

My basil usually gets killed by a big cold spell, so I plant it every year. I’m sure you will enjoy your homemade pesto, sounds delicious!
