Yesterday I boiled the rest of the bones with lots of marrow and ate it. Luna was happy too with the bones. The first time I made the first halfof the bones as if I was cooking an ossobucco a la Milanese. But this time I just cooked the bones because I was just going to eat the marrow. The last time it took me ages to pour the broth into ice cubes, freeze them, take them out and put them away in a plastic and then wash the ice cube containers. So now I just made broth boiling the bone with some herbs. Today I had the broth. The marrow took minutes to be eaten by me yesterday. I decided to make a much needed soup fr this cold gray day. And I had potatoes, onions, cream and cheese. I still have some broth left. I´ll just put it in a Tupperware and freeze it. Labeled! It will be used in a couple of months. The winter is about to arrive.

You are right, it takes forever to freeze the broth in the ice cubes trays. I usually freeze in small Tupperware containers.

I now have the rest of this broth. I might make a potato soup by just boiling a couple of potatoes, mashing them when boiled and adding milk or cream or, if I´m absolutly lazy, I could just give the broth to Luna. I have some groung meat to make a hamburger for lunch and I do need to dice and add caramelized onions to it.

@LadyDuck I love hummus. I prepare hummus with twice the amount of tahine that the normal recipe suggests. In that way, my friend Humberto who hates chickpeas, eats hummus happily.

I really love beef, chicken, or even pork bones boiled, to make a luscious broth!

I did. It was not that easy to make though. I cooked some things with less effort when my leggs were better. There is still part of it (the broth) in the fridge. I might boil some potatoes there and make an easy soup or give it to Luna.

@just4him This winter I´ll use a cube of broth in every stew I make. It will be a lot better.

@marguicha I'm sorry it wasn't easy to make. Either way, it should be good.

I love marrow but mostly only had it from lamb/mutton bones.

I haven´t had lamb in years. We export lamb but lamb meat (which used to be reasonably priced) is now scarce and very expensive.

There are many soups and stews that can be made with that broth.
