Good morning from this side of the planet . It's 9:18 AM here. I am inside the airport relaxing in the Lounge and enjoying their breakfast buffet.. The fruit bowl is so yummy . I will board the flight to Delhi in another one hour. Yay!! Going to meet mom and my elder brother after an year. I started at 6 in the morning from home. The sun was warm and pleasant at that early morning. Took airport shuttle bus. My younger daughter accompanies me and she is also excited. More excited after her fabulous result and she is expecting a good treat from her grandma and uncle. She has already sent a list of things that she would be happy to receive for her results . And there is nothing expensive on the list. Just some yarns for crochet, some art supplies and few of her favourite sweets. Autism makes you so authentic and sweet . That's what I love about her. This airport terminal is new one and too beautifully done. It's made on the theme of Bengaluru being Garden City. Full of fresh greenery and even forest and flower themes at places. I loved that long tulip patch covered with blooms with different colours.. Though, Bangalore is no more Garden city and has become more of concrete jungle, this airport terminal is at least to remind us the gold old days of the city, that has been ruined by over construction and urbanization. Most counters have self check in services, less people to employ. Things are getting fast and you can totally avoid human interaction unless you face some issues and need assistance. I really miss those old days when someone would greet you with warmth and smile, make you feel special and do work with you. Now there are empty chairs on the counters and just a screen. A few attendants are present and they keep an eye and come to assist you only if you ask them or they spot you struggling. Well, technology is taking away from human interactions. Machines, Chatbots..etc. I know it's technology advancements to make things easier and fast. But the human in me misses those old days of warmth when strangers would give you a friendly greetings. I miss those days. Take care. Going to read some of your discussions

@arunima25 - Same as you. We already live in a world where there is less and less human interaction. I am glad you safely reached home despite the turbulence.

I would hate a world where there would be minimal human interaction. It would be so dry. There was bad turbulence towards the end of journey as it was storm and rain. We kept hovering in the sky as there was no clearance for landing. But once I reached home, it has been all good. Enjoying the pampering by mom and brother.

Glad that you got a chance to fly out and meet your Mom and elder brother. Congratulations on the great results of your younger daughter. You are handling her health condition very very well. May be others can seek inspiration from you. Yes, Bangalore (technically Bengaluru) is no more a Garden city. I remember my year 2000 visit and it felt heavenly then! How is the water situation now? Yes, machines and technology and now AI has reportedly bought us closer yet mentally and in many ways, we are much further apart. People are growing more cynical, impatient and so so self centered and greedy. Of late, me and my family have been through some tough or should I say torrid times. I have tried to be calm but have faced challenges in form of rude and manipulative people, biased rules and procedures and a growing tendency of suspicion and mistrust. I even lost sleep a few days, something which wasn't the case during earlier tough times. Anyways, one has to find solutions to one's problems and well, Mylot and other avenues have been helping me. Hoping to see more of you here.

Lots of travel, change of places, so many events..this was all tight and tiring. But a good getaway from the mundane life. It all comes to an end. I am at airport waiting for the flight back to Bangalore. Have been away from home for almost three weeks.. Husband is managing alone from last one week. And I am sure that the house would need a lot of cleaning and arrangements after I go back. We are living in the times where human interactions are getting lesser and lesser. I am not very positive about the future to come. I feel sad that we are handing over a very bad world to our coming generations. Glad that my husband had less holiday and went back early. Some family drama unfolded here too at my in laws house and few things turned ugly too. It would have hurt him and affected his blood pressure. I could handle it in a more firm and polite way. Sometimes people enjoy this blame game and passing the parcel kind of situation. Their ego thrives on it. They don't want a solution..they prefer things to be complicated. Anyways, it is part and parcel of life. Sorry about the current situation in your life. This too shall pass. My younger one is going to college. And we have overcome the barriers so far and hope to do so in the future too. Will try to be more active in online space too.

The good old days are disappearing fast as technology takes over everywhere. I'm not ready for self-serve technology, but I know I will need to embrace it eventually or get left behind. I hope you have a wonderful visit with your mom and brother. I'm glad your daughter is going with you and had good results in her studies. You didn't say what the good results were for, so I expect it's her studies. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I hear what you're saying and agree in many ways. In many ways technology doesn't speed things up. Some things take much longer to accomplish. Your daughter sounds a very sweet person.

Technology can make things easier but not everything that it brings is good. I would hate a world where we have minimal interactions with human. It's not going to do good for our emotional and mental health.

Happy for you and your daughter. She has earned it the hard way and deserves the attention. Every time I go to the airport, things are not what it was before. One has to keep running to stay where we are.

@arunima25 The number of passengers has increased in India and airports can handle the rush only due to technology. "Necessity is the mother of invention". Though I am not that active, I log in almost every day just to keep up with the goings on here.

@Shiva49 That's very true. The airport traffic has really increased in the last one decade. And so many new modern beautiful airports and terminals have come up. Airport connectivity has improved so much.

The last 30 minutes in the flight was scary. We had bad turbulence due to sudden storm and rain. I reached home last afternoon. And since then I have been enjoying all the good food and pampering. Nothing beats mom's place.
