Somehow, I got sidetracked on a "train of love songs" to celebrate Valentine's Day. So, let's get back on track with our previous favorite songs' series of "good and bad" titled tunes. Here we go! Sometimes artists can really give mixed signals in their song titles, giving off a dual meaning. That's what these tunes have in common. Comments, musings, your own favorite "good or bad" titled songs and trivia always welcome... ***GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES- LED ZEPPELIN (1969) -The first song on Led Zeppelin's debut album, this track was an appetizer of what was to arguably become the best heavy metal/hard rock band in music history. With some of my favorite songs like "Whole Lotta Love, Stairway to Heaven, and Ramble On," this foursome proved to be a commercial and critical success, and one of the most influential bands of all time. Sadly, the band broke up when John Bonham died after a drinking binge at Jimmy Page's house on September 25, 1980. *Are you a fan of Led Zeppelin? What is your favorite Led Zep song? TRIVIA CHALLENGE ***Now for our trivia music challenge for those who like to play along. See if you can guess these selections. Words in "quote marks" provide valuable clues! Name this week's tune, artist or facts: 1. This artist came from a "small town in Indiana" where he played in bands and planned his escape. Many of his tunes have that "Midwestern feel" to them," songs also labeled "Heartland Rock." He initially recorded under the name "Johnny Cougar." With a string of hits like "Jack & Diane", "Lonely Ol' Night", and "R.O.C.K. in the U.S.A.," this artist holds the record for most #1 hits on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, with seven. His song title is about how crude men can be to woman, and "the pain" or "_____" feelings experienced in romance. But instead of using the word "bad" to describe the suffering in his song title, he uses the "opposite of this word." Making the song's title "_________ so _________." -Do you know the artist and his good or bad titled song? 2. Robert Palmer also recorded a song which contains a title which uses the "opposite of the word good." And he has such a "bad case" of being in love, he needs a "Doctor," Doctor" to prescribe something to help with his condition. -Do you know the name of this Robert Palmer good or bad titled song? 3. Robert Palmer had another song "about love" which I would consider his most popular. He compared being in love to "being hooked on drugs." The song played continuously on "MTV and became his signature song." It featured him singing with "fashion models" playing instruments in the background." -Do you know the name of this song where he compares being in love to a drug habit? Hoping you don't have "a bad time" when solving these artists and songs. But this is a tough one. You might have to wait to see the answers. If you're stuck and need additional hints just let me know in your response. I'll be glad to supply one. Or, as the band Chicago would say, you can "Call on Me." Thanks for reading and responding to my music post!!! I will return with a new edition in the near future. Hope you can wait till then, lol. Stay tuned... Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com

@grenery8 I'm stuck in the 60's, 70's and 80's which is the music I grew up listening to. I like Bryan Adams and have some of his classic CD hits. On occasion I listen to the newer Country artists. Nice list!

Robert Palmer what a great concert that must have been! That's as "good as finished" except for the Robert Palmer song title for #3. Clues: When you "have a substance abuse it might be called an ____________. This is another Palmer "love themed" song which I could have placed on my last series. Put them together. Enjoy...

Melencamp (of course, but I don't know how it's spelled) and something about love hurts so good, right? Addicted to Love, he met his demise all too soon. I know the other song but for the life of me can't remember the title or the words right now, I haven't heard either song in years.

Rightyo! I notice a couple of correct answers that "look soooo good." Complete Trivia Answers: 1. John Mellencamp- Hurt So Good 2. Bad Case of Loving You (Doctor Doctor) 3. Addicted to Love MORE FUN MUSIC TRIVIA -Mellencamp once owned a tattoo parlor. This led to many family members getting tatoos including his aunt, who appropriately got one saying "Hurt So Good" today's trivia song title, lol. -Along with The Beatles, Led Zeppelin is one of two bands with five diamond albums, meaning sales of more than 10 million each. Enjoy... this one is a great RP video... Rockin' guitar and great vocals from Robert!!!

I’m not a Zep fan, but they do have some songs that you can’t help but love. My favorite is “Hot Dog,” then “Fool in the Rain” (which were conveniently on the same 45 for me ), and “The Immigrant Song” (which my brother had a 45 of when I was little, so I guess that’s where I came to like it). And, of course, “Rock and Roll” and “Living Loving Maid.” 1. That would be Blon Jon Mellonhead. Loved Weird Al’s April Fools hosting of MTV one year, where he said in the “MTV news” that “John Cougar Mellencamp has announced that he will be changing his name with each new album. The next album will be John Cougar Mellencamp Schwartz.” That joke hurt so good, didn’t it? By the way, his “small town” is Seymour, Indiana, about 50 miles up the road from me! 2. Ooh, Robert Palmer. Might as well face it, I’m addicted to his music. I’ve got a bad case of loving his stuff! I think Scott did a Robert Palmer countdown several years ago.
