Animal welfare officials in Kansas City Missouri as well as firefighters worked together to rescue a mountain goat that was in need of being rescued when the goat was on a ledge close to Swope Park on Monday afternoon. An eyewitness who has worked in the past with animal control attempted to use a rope in an attempt to guide the goat to safety when the goat fell off of the ledge of the bridge with a rope hanging on to his body for a short time until a veterinarian on the ground put the goat to sleep with sedatives until members of the K C Pet Project took the goat to their home so that the goat can make a full recovery. KC Pet Project chief operations officer did mention that the goat was adopted by a local resident who managed to flee from the home of his owner recently. Your guess is as good as mine if the goat fled from the owner due to being abused or was the goat decided to walk outside of his owner's home. Link is upi.com/9131712677283 via @upi

My dad’s friend has a lot of goats. They are quite the characters, and heavens, the sounds they can make sound so human sometimes. I’m glad this one was taken care of.

Goats are usually more agile than that. Glad he was okay and adopted.

What a handsome goat! I think the goat just wanted to taste some freedom, males are known to be stubborn and have a mind of their own.

I think that the goat wanted to go outside of his home.

Some animals get themselves into some very strange predicaments.

That is true since animals have the courage to go to places where humas do not go to.

@Deepizzaguy how a wild animal like this can be put in the apartment complex, so twisted.
