I'm Crazy About Murder Mysteries

The murder mystery book I'm presently reading, is GILT TRIP.(no, I didn't spell guilt wrong). The author of this book is Laura Childs and I've read many of her stories. She's a very gifted artist! This one is a bit far fetched. The victim's dead body was found tumbling inside a dryer, in the laundry room! Weird? Yes, I thought so, too Nope, I don't expect this will happen very often, in real life! Yet, Laura Childs has a lot of talent and a great imagination. And that's what it takes, to be a successful murder mystery author:) Photo: Borrowed from Pixabay

@paigea I hate it when they cut open a body, or show wounds from a gunshot!

The ones I read don't get too graphic. If they did this, I'd be all done reading the story.

What an odd storyline. She sounds like a very imaginative writer. I like a good mystery. I watch the old mysterious movies.

The tumbling body made me laugh! Are there a few laughs in the book overall?

@kobesbuddy I think I would enjoy those. I am still ticed off because Horse Jr. left my Holmes stories in Europe. I love Doyle's dry wit.

Believe it or not, this author adds humor throughout her books! MC Beaton is another writer, I spend time laughing throughout all her Agatha Raisin series(a murder/mystery author). @TheHorse

From the title, I'd have assumed it was about a financial crime as gilts are British Government bonds

It's really hard, I'm sure, for authors to come up with a unique plot.

And then, they have to change the plot for every single book.

It's my favorite pastime, reading murder/mystery books. Some get to graphic, so I can't read that one.

Used to read a lot of Ramantic Mysteries...and now I watch Hallmark Mystery Movies. I think I have watched every Perry Mason episode, every NCIS, NCIS: NewYork, NewOrleans.Columbo.LOL So much easier to watch a Mystery. My eyes aren't what they used to be, now if I could read a book 3 feet away..I can see far away better than up close.
