40-Year-Old Songs: Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go

So…we have a hardcore country song that’s 70 years old now. What do we balance that with? How about THIS classic from 1984? There was a “thing” in the early-mid 80s where catchy, infectious pop songs RULED. This one of the catchiest! Get up and dance!
Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go - Wham!
If you need to put a song in a time capsule to describe early 80s music, I’d recommend using this one. Man, what a fun song. I’ve danced to it, driven to it, skated to it, walked to it, and cheered up to it.
This song really does “make the sun shine brighter than Doris Day.”

I didn’t watch the documentary. This was one of those songs that you had to seriously go out of your way to avoid.

Aw such fond memories..I met them in the Birds Nest Pub on the Kings Road many years ago.

This song drove me bonkers. I would be walking somewhere and suddenly the words come to me wake me up before you go go etc, Glad I now longer hear it,
