Do you own an ugly Christmas sweater?

Mai Hoomin is ugly, and he sweats a lot, and probably at Christmas too, so he might be considered an ugly Christmas sweater...

I would never wear a red and green sweater with a reindeer in the front. So I hsve never bought one.

I do not. But I have some old sweaters that I rarely wear.

I had to buy one when I taught school. When I retired, I threw it out. I did buy a pretty Hanukkah sweater. I gave that to a friend when I retired.

I don't have an ugly sweater. I don't own any sweaters. I have a lot of fancy sweatshirts but no sweaters. I should get in the Christmas spirit and buy one this year! I may have a good sweatshirt with Christmas things on it, but I have so many I don't remember all the designs on the ones I have. All of mine have designs that is all i remember.

I used to have some gorgeous but gaudy Christmas sweaters, but I mostly do not like to wear that style of sweater, because I get too hot, and also, these had metallic threads and they itch. I just wear a cardigan over everything.

I think if I had now some of the Christmas sweaters I had as a kid or a young teen, they would qualify as an ugly Christmas sweater, because adults aren’t supposed to do “cutesie”. The bear wearing a Santa hat is adorable on a ten year old me, but the 43 year old me is trying to do an ugly Christmas sweater. And, if I had it, I’d wear it proudly. But since I’m always hot, I never wear long sleeves (with the occasional sweater a relative bought me an exception). Maybe I can find some ugly Christmas shirts with short sleeves…

I don't own any Christmas sweater, people often go out of their way to gift something decent. Even those who know you little, so acquaintances that are forced to buy you something, will usually get you scarves or gloves. It helps you need to know the person's size to buy them a sweater. One thing that makes them "ugly" is that they can only be worn during the Christmas season, where you feel like a piece of furniture that has been decorated with the proper holiday cloth. That aside, they aren't so ugly. At worst, they're bad gifts because they hardly ever match the giftee's taste.
