An enjoyable lesson with my favorite adult student tonight. Have you heard of any of these songs?

I am trying to remember the songs we worked out tonight.
Tom Petty's "Last Dance with Maryjane." It's in A-minor, but has a cool E-minor to A-Major "refrain," or whatever it's called.
"No Rain," by Blind Lemon (actually Blind Melon--I blame the beer). I love the "Bee Girl" video. Maybe that will be the one I link.
A song by Vagabond. Or was "Vagabond," a song by some other band? I had never heard this one before.
"Tangled Up in Blue" by Bob Dylan. From "Blood on the Tracks."
A three-chord Fleetwood Mac song, but I can't remember which one.
I enjoy figuring out songs and working on them with this student.
The one I'll link is the one she (my student), her 20-somethng daughter, and I all resonate with. Had you heard it before?
No Rain. By Blind Lemon. It is in E-major. The other main chords are D-major and A-major. But I think we figured out that there's a transitional G-major in there.
I love this song and the video. A friend of mine in Stockton in a non-prog band does this one. I may try to get my mates to do it. They might laugh at me.

Check out the Blind Melon song. It's really cute. Your kids and grannies are "darling," and so are you and I (me?). But it's a song about finding that feeling of "being accepted," even if you're not "gifted," or "pretty," or whatever. As a fellow teacher, you might dig it. It's "odd," and that's a part of what I like about it.I am not a Dylan fan, but "Tangled up in Blue" is my favorite Dylan song.

Sure you weren’t working on a Blind Lemon Jefferson song?

@TheHorse — “blind melon” could also refer to a watermelon and a bottle of vodka….

I like Tangled up in Blue, and was it Steve Martin who would reference Blind Lemon Pledge?

Did I write "Let's dance"? I used to play that one in a rock cover band. I played bass. It was "hecka" fun. I think the band name Blind Melon is a take off on American blues musicians. At least one called himself Blind Lemon Somethingoranother.
