This Morning was Aubrey's Big Competition

Eight o'clock this morning, Aubrey was all dressed and lined up for the judges. Some of the other kids were 15-16 years old and they've been training for a longer time. Aubrey was nervous, but all she could do was her best. Both of her parents were very proud of their daughter's performance. She didn't ride Liam, her own horse. They provided her with another well trained horse. It seems to me, any horse would work out. But, Aubrey said, "NO." Every horse is different, when it comes to giving them signals and their hopeful response. Aubrey refused to wear lipstick. So, her Daddy put some lipstick on himself, to encourage his daughter to change her mind:) Anyway, out of thirty competitors Aubrey took 7th place. We are very proud of her! She's an amazing young lady:) Photo:taken by Aubrey's Dad

Happy for Aubrey! Proud moment for the family . Yes, I have heard many riders say that. Each horse is different and they prefer the ones that they are comfortable and well bonded.

@arunima25 I thought Aubrey would stop being enthused about this sport. Instead, she loves it!

That's a good result when she is so much younger and not on her own horse. Good for her.

Riding a strange horse isn't OK, they barely knew each other! You of all people, know that this is the truth:)

Congratulations to Aubrey, she placed so well today! It is encouraging that she isn't into makeup, she is quite young still, but way to go Dad for getting her to try.

Aubrey argues, "God gave me this face and I like to wear my own face! I don't want to look like someone else!"

Being twelve years old, she's still new at this sport. Many of those kids are advanced and they have a lot more experience on horseback.
