U S C G rescues 8 children and an adult that were on a capsized raft in Texas

Thanks to a United States Coast Guard (USCG) patrol boat that was in the Rio Grande River near McAllen Texas on Valentine's Day, eight children who were aboard a raft that capsized with an adult smuggler with the children were in need of being rescued.
A 29 foot USCG patrol boat managed to rescue the party of nine persons from a terrible ending and take to shore.
The adult who was aboard the raft out of an act of being a coward deflated the raft as he fled back to the Mexican side of the border.
The eight children who range from six to 13 years of age were taken by the USCG to officials of the U S Customs and Border Protection.

The children were innocent victims of the smuggler here, and were fortunate to be rescued.
I wonder what happened to them, if they were returned to over the border too, or not.

The report never mentioned what happened to the children after they were rescued by the USCG.
