The First of the Lilies Have Bloomed

We have some lilies blooming! The petite yellow Stella d' Oro lily was the first to show off this year with beautiful bright yellow flowers. I lost a lot of my lilies over the last couple of years. While my mother lived with us, I was busy taking care of her and my flowers were neglected. I have been trying to get some repotted. And empty some pots that have no live plants or flowers in them any more. I think next year we will be buying more lilies!! Do you like day lilies? What is your favorite flower? I do have day lilies, but it's too early for them to bloom here. My favorite flowers were those of my gardenia.

I miss my gardenia so much! I had one at the first house we lived at after getting married. I should have dug it up and moved it when we built our house in Louisiana, but sadly didn't. Nor, did I go buy another one. Working and 3 little ones kept me busy.

@kareng I lost my gardenia two years ago, it was so beautiful, I do not know what happened, I blame a bug that attacked the roots.

As for my favorite flower, it's hard to choose just one! I appreciate the beauty and uniqueness of different flowers, from the classic elegance of roses to the cheerful brightness of sunflowers. Each flower has its own charm and can evoke different emotions and memories. If I had to pick one, though, I might lean towards sunflowers for their cheerful and sunny disposition.

You will have to wait until next year for more! Mine are just starting to bloom here. I am also trying to get them all re-potted. So much neglect in the last couple of years!

My favourite flower is rose and I do love lilies too. I have the light orange ones. They are blooming now.

It is very beautiful. Here I hardly see yellow lily. Most colors are red, pink and white. I can't really say which is my favorite flowers because most of them are beautiful and it's too hard to pick which is the best.

Yellow is very common here. I am like you--love them all, so can't pick a favorite, although lilies are at the top of the list in top 5!
