This is a Teasmade, which belonged to my parents. Basically it’s a combined alarm clock, bedside light and kettle. You set it for your desired wake-up time, and at that time it boils the kettle, dispenses the water into the teapot, then turns the light on and wakes you up with an alarm. Quite a clever device really.
I have fond memories of getting into my parents’ bed on a Saturday morning as a young child. They would have a tray prepared the night before with cups and saucers and a jug of milk, and there was a round tin of ginger biscuits. To this day I still have a fondness for slightly soft ginger biscuits
I would keep it for old times’ sake except I really can’t justify it since I wouldn’t use it – I can’t bear alarms and I don’t drink tea!
So it’s going on Ebay and I hope someone else will enjoy it. It does work perfectly, I tested it yesterday to make my partner a cup of tea at 3:30 pm and it was spot on.

Clever indeed! Better than those automatic coffee makers.

It could be a collectible. Good luck selling it. Have a good weekend.
