Bear and her cubs in a swimming pool in Monrovia California

Monrovia California resident Ricky Martinez witnessed a female bear who is in the company of her two cubs who managed to get inside of his home on Tuesday to take a swim inside of the pool in his back yard. The bears then went to a scratch a tree before leaving the back yard to the forest without harming any of the property. My guess is that the bears went into the swimming pool to get some cooling off from a hot day outside. Link is upi.com/5701715095849 via @upi

Wow, another zany day in California. It must have been exciting to be visited by a bear and her babies.

A buddy of mine who lives in the suburbs of Orlando, Florida has a bear that stops by and swims in his pool about once a week. He doesn't mind the bear being there, but the only bad thing is it always digs through his garbage cans for food and makes quite a mess.

@Deepizzaguy There was one time I was canoeing on a creek and I came around a bend and saw a tree fallen over the creek. I judged that I had just enough clearance that if I laid down in my canoe I could pass safely under the tree. What I did not realize was that there was a bear sitting on the tree reaching down into the water trying to catch fish. I wasn’t sure what to do, so I went ahead and laid down in the canoe and went under the tree. As I passed under I looked up and saw the bear staring down at me. It sat there and let me pass. It was pretty cool.

That is what likely happened since bears do not intend to harm anyone unless they are provoked.

I guess she was hot. Bears like to swim. There is a park in Richmond that has bears and I saw it swimming once.

Probably what happened since I know if I were a bear under a hot sun, I would also want to get into a body of water to cool off.

That is one fact that my relatives who have farm animals tell me to stay away from female animals when they are near their children.

I'm glad they enjoyed a swim without harming anyone and left the property without damaging anything.

The owner might be scared that this might happen again when he is actually swimming in there himself one day. If he is mistaken for a large fish, by the bears, it might not end up well for that man.
