Whew. I've been checking it every couple of hours. The past 3 readings have been 101/73, 109/77, and 108/77. My pulse is back down into the 70s too. I'm impressed that just 5mg of Bystolic was able to get it under control so quickly. I really expected that I'd have to be back up to 10 mg but apparently not.
I've gained a couple of pounds (5) which I need to address. Still I weigh 80 pounds less than I did years ago when I was on 4 different blood pressure meds.

I hope this works. I don’t need any more discussions from you, written in the ER on your phone, because your BP spiked and you’re in the hospital.

Five pounds really isn't a big deal. You can keep an eye on it. But, as long as you stay at a healthy weight, that's good. I'm glad the bp meds seem to be working.

Please don’t let yourself run out again, those numbers you had were scary. I’m glad to read you are feeling better.

Excellent. I don't have to tell you to renew your prescription in plenty of time next time. My HR is always around 100. My PCP is concerned; but my EKG or whatever they did came back with just a concern about blockage in my neck artery. Have a good day.
