Crunchy!

Someone thoughtfully decanted some of the 2011 vintage cicadas today, and I sampled a bit. It has a rather hard finish to it, but then you reach a soft creamy middle, and the taste is simply divine. Such a shame it is only available every 13 years.

Those cicadas are enough to drive anyone crazy, that buzzing noise they make! Thank God, you have decided to chow down on those babies This will make them think twice, about making racket in your yard The feral cats, all they do is beg for food:(

The birds get to be gluttons on the cicadas until they are ready to burst. The cicadas are creepy anyway. Hope you and your hoomin have a good day.

They seem so tiny compared to the annual cicadas.

Glad you enjoyed it. My dad was one hoomin who would agree with you about bugs. He and a friend enjoyed a can of chocolate covered grasshoppers many moons ago,
