The pigeon is still here after so many days. I can't understand how it can live without food or water for a week. It is lethargic and it sleeps a lot. I feel sad because I can't help it. I can't reach it because it's almost on the roof of the building. It has a colored band on its leg. This means that it has an owner. My father saw it too and he thinks that it's sick. The pigeon doesn't move much during the day. It doesn't react. I tried to feed it. I put water and food, but the pigeon didn't touch them.

As sad as it sounds, that bird won't last long. The bands don't mean it's a pet, it means it's being tracked. More than likely. I know you want to do something for it, but I don't think you can. Even if you could trap it, it may be far to close to rainbow bridge. I am sorry.

Often, that is what birds do when they are sick or dying. They find a spot and that's where they stay. You did your part to provide some food and water. It sounds like it may have eaten something toxic...just a guess. Kayla is right, the band is a tracking band, not an owner's band.

@dya80dya He is likely far too weak to fly. Most pigions tend to be friendly around people. Mostly because people often feed them. But, no, that's a tracking band on his foot.

Is there a wildlife rehab in your area? They have them here Maybe if there is a local pigeon club they might know how to reach the owner or could help in a rescue

Some vets sometimes can take care of birds, but we don't have wildlife rehab. If it would be near my window I could take it to the vet. But no one can reach it there. Today some crows tried to attack it and I noticed that it can't fly. In this town, we don't have an avian veterinarian.

Sounds like the pigeon will eventually just pass away, I guess animal rescue place don't respond to sick pigeons or do they?
