Our old grill was a cheap grill that we bought quickly to replace the best grill we ever had...until now. The best grill we used to have went up to 700°. You could have a Medium steak in 5 min. The NEW grill only goes up to 640° BUT it is smaller, and has a see thru lid, so you can see inside. Took about 7 min for our steaks last night, and when they came out they had markings like you see in a restaurant. Pink inside, but no blood coming out. Been a LONG long time since we had a steak like that. The old grill, just couldn't get hot enough to properly cook a good steak. Can not wait to have ribs tonight. Everyone have a wonderful weekend.

That sounds like the ideal grill. Pink but not too much blood is how we prefer our steaks.

My new grill, which is actually about three years old now, has a searing side and that gets pretty hot. I guess the way it is supposed to work is you sear them about one or two minutes on each side and finish them on the cooler side. Steaks, that is. I have yet to use it. lol
