He shot to fame in 2004 with the release of his documentary "Super Size Me". It followed him for 30 days during which he ate McDonalds food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If the employee taking the order asked him if he wanted to "super-size" the meal he had to say yes. (Do they still do super-sizes? I don't eat fast food.) He gained 25 pounds in 30 days. Anyway the documentary was a HUGE hit and he was actually nominated for an Oscar for it for Best Feature Documentary. He went on to film other documentaries and also TV series. He is most known, however, for using himself as a human experiment and causing a broad discussion about the role of, portion size, and nutritional value of fast food in general. He died yesterday in New York surrounded by family and friends as a result of cancer. He was 53. Way too young.

I have read lately of people turning into human experiments to get money. I thought until now that that was against the law.

I had not heard too much about him but that is so sad that he passed so young, I have not been near fast food in ages,

I would advice that person to go see a doctor for a general health check up. Eating fast food for every meal on a daily basis could seriously have an adverse effect on you.

I hope he had some fun in life. What a way to be. Or not.
