Balcony garden update. And a confession.

My new crops survived my trip to Chicago. Right now I have a handful of corn plants and sunflower plants coming up. No green beans yet.
At Kaiser, I went back to my naughty ways and planted the same in the new planters on the balcony there. When I picked up my meds yesterday, I asked three ladies chatting there what the planters we all about.
They explained that some individual workers were taking responsibility for one planter each. I confessed to the ladies that I had planted the corn and sunflower sees that were each throwing six inch plants.
They were amused by my antics and told me they'd ask the "owners" of those planters to treat my plants "like adopted children."
I'll attach a photo from yesterday of my new balcony plants.
We'll see what happens. I enjoy constructive delinquency!

Your plants look good, Plants should be taken care of carefully and I can say they enjoy music. In Latvia I had a desk full of all kinds of plants that were always green and thriving and kept a radio playing for them, We switched from popular Latvian music to English to rock and so on and they always appeared to really enjoy the music, I had a Christmas cactus that would bloom whenever he particularly enjoyed certain music so at any time of the year,

@TheHorse here is the answer straight from the net and as you can see apparently they do best with classical and jazz but our plants in Latvia learned to enjoy popular music
Plants respond to music by increasing their metabolism, nutrient intake, and overall health12345. The sound frequencies stimulate the movement of cytoplasm in the plants’ cells, which boosts metabolism and growth1. Music helps a stoma stay open for longer, thus taking in more air and growing faster1. Plants release chemicals called phytohormones when exposed to music, which stimulate cell division and encourage new growth3. Plants respond best to jazz and classical music because the sound is steady and doesn’t go up and down in pitch, which can stress them out too much45.

@RasmaSandra I had never notice that jazz and classical don't go up and down much in pitch.

I have to get some corn seeds today. The "heritage" ones a friend gave me were all shrivelled up.

@TheHorse I don't know, but I soaked them for a couple days and they look edible now, so I planted them. We shall see.

You can sometimes start recording these in your YT videos and may be they can earn you handsome rewards.
Could you elaborate "Constructive Delinquency" ?
Is it a literal use, figurative or "inspired" use ?
