I like the kind gesture of Jennifer Pulsone Heppner did for her grandmother Maria Pulsone who is an immigrant from Italy who was chosen by her former employer Kozinn Sons & Tailors to be the subject of a 51 foot sculpture to adorn the lobby of the business 40 years ago. Maria had her body covered in plaster with straws placed on her nose so that she could breathe. The sculpture was inside of the lobby of the business for several years but when the business moved away from New York to another location, the sculpture, Jennifer was fearful that the sculpture had been destroyed when Jennifer and her husband Brian went online to search for the sculpture. The statue that is called "Woman sewing statue" was located at an antiques warehouse in Scranton Pennsylvania where they purchased the sculpture for a discount price of $600 on a Black Friday discount. The family have donated the sculpture to the Italian American Museum in the Lower East Side in New York City where Maria and her relatives were there to witness the unveiling of her sculpture. Better late than never to reunite with a sculpture in Maria's case. Link is upi.com/6071715891303 via @upi

I am in agreement with you that Maria was able to see a sculpture again while she is still alive with her family.

The grandmother must have told her about it, and it was good the grandaughter was able to locate it, after all those years, and replace it, to another place, so it will be viewed again.

Most likely what happened that Maria told her granddaughter about the sculpture.

That's awesome! To have a sculpture and have it placed in a museum sounds amazing! She then becomes part of history where people will continue to learn and know about it.
