Found at the op shop - a scarf hanger

I took a few things to the op shop/thrift store yesterday. I was looking for some knitting wool but couldn’t find any I liked. I was looking for baby wool or something similar but they only had really thick wool. However, I did find a book of short stories by Jojo Moyes, one of my favourite authors. In amongst the knitting wool, I also found the hanger that you can see in the photo. It’s specifically designed for holding scarves. I'd googled about how to store scarves and one of the suggestions was a hanger like this. Amazing how you can want something and then it just pops up somewhere. Like that missing jigsaw piece.

I’ve decided I’m into scarves now. I’ve ironed all the material ones and this will be the ideal hanger for them. I also bought a very cheap bangle which you can use to fasten a scarf. I might do a photo of that another time.

The first one I'd ever seen was in the YouTube clip. I was surprised to find this one in the op shop.

Now that you show this scar hanger I wonder where is mine. I still have two men's ties hangers, but I do not see my scarf hanger.

When Vince retired, we only kept a few ties and I have rolled them up in a small container. I had never seen these holders before.

Very neat and useful if you wear scarves! You could probably also use for men's ties!

@JudyEv One of my writer friends used to wear a different tie every day. He had so many that he didn't repeat a tie in a 3 month period. Everyone used to gift him ties and he would feature a photo a day with the tie of the day. It was cool and he became known as the "tie guy!"

@kareng It's nice when something like this catches on. In one of Vince's jobs he always wore a bow-tie to work. He had quite a few but not oodles like your friend.

Boy do I wish I had had a scarf hanger when I had a whole bunch of scarves in a drawer, It would have been so much easier to see what scarves I had,

Mine were folded on top of one another and quite creased. I guess these might crease if I don't use them for a while.
