Daken Kramer who is an 11 year old fifth grade student who attends Thomas J Ulitican Elementary School which is located in Blue Springs Missouri with the help of his mother Vanessa Kramer used the power of social media to ask for donations to raise money to pay off the lunch debt of his school.
Thanks to the donations from people that Daken knew as well as businesses to raise $7,300 dollars that will be used to make sure that the students would be able to eat a meal.
Daken and his mom used Facebook to ask for donations on April 12.Daken was amazed that thanks to his actions, Daken and his mom learned that the school created the Daken Kramer Legacy Award on Monday May 27.
Nice to see a young child with the help of his mom to pay off the lunch debt of the elementary school that he attends.

It is generous for him to think of that. But it would be better still if the community thought about considering giving food for the children who attend there.

@marguicha I observed that the locals aren't very concerned. Feeding those children at school, should be more important to the parents of those kids! I'd be upset, if my children or other children didn't get a lunch at school.

@kobesbuddy In my country primary schools (not the ones for well to do families) are given lunch by the government. If then didn´t they would not be able to go to school.

That is true that a lot of children think about themselves a lot.

That is wonderful but they should consider that perhaps it might help with food for the students if the people in the community donated what food they could a couple of times a month,

This was very wonderful, what this boy and his mother accomplished! And with this amount of money, the school lunch program will be able to survive:)

Depending on how many kids are at that school, they might soon wrack up another lunch bill, in a few months time.
At least, they are ok for now, because of Daken's actions, and let's hope that the school does not just shout them a meal at McDonald's, but gives them something substantial instead.
