Every year I celebrate my birthday in grand style: with celebrations of music that are turning a “milestone” age. This year, because of the advent of what became rock and roll, I added 70-year-old songs! Those songs are older than I am.
These, however, are not.
In June we’re going to romp through songs that are now SIXTY years old. Again, this isn’t intended to make you (or me) feel old, but to prove how wonderful and timeless music is!
And to prove that fact, here’s Satchmo from 1964!

You're getting into my husband's lifetime, lol. He was born in 1960.

@changjiangzhibin89 — it’s an expression. We had a program on the radio when I was a teenager, called American Top 40. The host would always say “the countdown rolls on.”

Yes they can. Thank you for the birthday wishes. My birthday was two months ago, but the countdowns roll on!

I had a trumpet and blew into it, hardly a “trumpet player” though.
Armstrong was one of the best!!

@FourWalls I was in the high school band for six years. We had the #1 band in the state of Michigan (class C) for a couple years. I joined an adult band for a couple years, it was fun!

Indeed it was. Nobody had to say who was singing when you heard him!

I don’t consider him a “great singer,” but his voice was delightful as well!

At least you won’t have much to type this month. Just “nope” cut & pasted 30 times.

That's a unique way to celebrate your birthday.
I always have trouble about the specialities brought by birthdays. I never really seen it as something exciting or special, unlike the others. Just another ordinary day for me.

I understand. It’s no big deal personally, but it gives me a countdown.
