Outlander is returning on November 22

The teaser trailer was just released today. Season 6 was only 8 episodes due to COVID and Catriona Balfe's pregnancy. They then said that season 7 was going to be "extra long" to make up for it--16 seasons. Yeah sure. They showed 8 episodes and aren't releasing the other 8 until November which is like a year after the first 8 shows aired. That seems like 2 more short seasons to me rather than 1 extended one. Next season (8) is going to be the last one. I think they are trying to stall for time until author Diana Gabaldon finishes the final book in the series but that is unlikely to happen as she can take up to 7 years to complete a book. This is going to be a Game of Thrones situation where the TV version of the story is filmed before the author publishes their version of the series finale. So Outlander starts up again on STARZ on November 22. I can't wait!
