Howdy and happy new week to y’all! It’s a dreary day but there aren’t any sporting events this week. (And we don’t have a tournament, so I don’t know why there’s a rain threat.

With Levi Stubbs (who later did the voice of Audrey II in the film Little Shop of Horrors) on lead vocals, the Four Tops introduced themselves to the world with this terrific song. And what an introduction it was!! As I meander through the 60s in the coming years you know you’re going to see more of their songs on the list.

Saw the Four Tops at a motel in Cleveland. This is when they were still performing in small venues.

Motown added another layer of terrific music to the 60's. So many flavors to choose among and many I enjoyed!
These guys really epitomized the great sound and artists coming out of that original Detroit location. HITSVILLE USA was so appropriate!
