Good neighbors rescue a man who was tin an auto explosion

A Holden Massachusetts man is in serious condition after his acetylene tank that was in his trunk that leaked exploded causing the man to be trapped underneath his auto when neighbors who were in the area n Saturday June 1.
The neighbors arrived to remove the injured male from underneath his auto before the Holden firefighters and police officers arrived to have an ambulance take the injured man to a local hospital where he is in serious condition.
The authorities determined that the explosion was an accident since the tank was inside of the trunk overnight and did spring a leak.

Glad they got him to the hospital but I don't understand was he attaching the tank to the car or how come he was under the car?

I think that the explosion flipped the car over and the man was stuck underneath the car.
