I got an email from Philo early this month saying I could upgrade my account and get AMC+ added on. I am paying $25 now for the app( and many channels I missed from Cable) and could upgrade to $28 and get the added AMC+ app. So, because I would like to watch some of the witchy shows that AMC+ had to offer I called Philo. The rep that I spoke to said I would need to call back on the 12th to get that taken care of. Okay, so on the 12th I called and was told it was taken care of and I would now have AMC+ and just had to pay $3 more beginning the following month. I went to AMC+ and tried to sign in but could not. So, I called Philo again. (The young man I spoke to was named Hansel which I thought was unusual)He told me he didn't understand why I was told this and that to get AMC+ I would have to pay $32. Geez! No Thanks! I wish they would make up their minds. I was so happy with these added apps too and now this confusion and idiocy.
It's just TV!

It's progression and sales. When cell phones came out, companies would compete for who could give you the best bang on minutes and messages. Now, they compete on who can do unlimited everything better. Tradational cable has given way to streaming t.v. And, now you have services competeing on subscription services, and how to give you the most for the money. while scretly squeezing you dry.

Competition is the big thing I think. I'm glad I have Tracfone and hope we can keep the good deal we get with them.

@kaylachan .......I like Tracfone and have had no problems with their service. We have been using them for about three or four years now. I can't see how we would ever get used to paying monthly when paying only $100 for a year of good service is so convenient.

@celticeagle I think you should. Tracphone is a pay-as-you-go service. A good low-cost option for those who can't afford a post-paid service.

I was originally told the upgrade would cost $28 and would include AMC+. Each time I call it goes up. No thanks. What I have with the Philo is enough for now.

I did several times to both I have talked to. Each time I call the amount goes up.

That certainly does sound confusing and hope that you can get it for the extra $3. These apps can be frustrating.

I know what you mean how television is changing from the days of antennas and now streaming channels costing the consumer money just to view show that we enjoy.

I hate when I get a different answers from different reps. I ran into that when I was trying to figure out the appeal paperwork. So annoying. Have a good weekend.
