Wow, isn’t this a great month for music?! Such a wonderful blend of things. Right now I’m in the R&B portion of 1964, and that’s not by design, it’s just the way the alphabet put them. Here’s another classic that’s now 60 years old from the world of Motown. Where Did Our Love Go - the Supremes Yeah, buddy!!!! See you tomorrow. Oh, wait. Truth be told, though, there’s not a lot to expound on. This was the Supremes’ first #1 song on their way to their Hall of Fame career. It’s by the dynamo songwriting trio of Holland/Dozier/Holland (you may remember years ago, when I did my countdown of ten favorite songwriting teams, they were on the list.) And, over the decades, it’s won the hearts of new generations. Dance, sing along, and listen again! Where Did Our Love Go Written by Holland-Dozier-Holland Recorded by the Supremes From Where Did Our Love Go, 1964 You came into my heart:

This is another reason why the 60s were such a bomb for music. Have a good day.

Wait until I get to the country music, then you’ll have a different kind of “bomb” in mind.

Wow. To be fair, as I said to someone else, “Stop in the Name of Love” is the Supremes song that usually gets played.

Glad you enjoyed it. “Motown music” (R&B on a record label out of Detroit called Motown) in the 60s was amazing music.

I think their biggest hit was “Stop in the Name of Love,” so that’s the one that usually gets the most attention.
