Police officers of the New York Police Department are searching for the owner of a 5 foot boa constrictor who was seen slithering outside of an apartment building in the Upper West Side on Wednesday June 5.
Am eyewitness said that the snake managed to enter a basement apartment where the snake curled up in a sink before the snake went outside where the police officers rounded up the snake and took the animal to Animal Care Centers of New York City where the snake is being held for now until the owner of the snake can be found,
Whoever owns the snake is in trouble with the law since it is forbidden for boa constrictors to be kept as pets in New York City.

No surprise there. My hometown ain't what she used to be and I am not surprised the snakes are coming out, I hope that poor snake gets a good home, I have a feeling that owner might not show up,

I'm glad the snake was captured. I don't think the owner will show up. He will be in trouble.

I am in agreement with you that the owner of the snake will not want to reunite with the snake either.

That is what I am wondering why would anyone want to have a snake for a pet in the first place.

I doubt that the owner wants to come forward and claim his pet since he will be likely fined.

I would rather own a dog or a cat than a snake.

I do not think that the owner will want to go and claim his pet since he would likely by fined for violation of the city law forbidden owning a snake.

At that size, it is probably not an adult snake, but nobody likes snakes walking the streets around where they live.
It was good that it was rounded up by the Police.

I agree with you since I cannot stand snakes.

I hope the snake is taken care of as I don't see that the owner will come forward since it's illegal to have a pet boa.
