Toddler Trapped In Tesla Has Harrowing Ordeal

I recently read about a toddler trapped in a Tesla when the battery died. Thankfully the toddler escaped later unharmed, thanks to emergency responders, but I could not imagine dealing with such a situation.
Hopefully this is a lesson, not just for Tesla, but for other EV automakers as well. There need to be (easily accessible) emergency escape avenues to avoid similar situations in the future.
Something as simple as a traditional key option would be great I think. Rather than a key card.

I am in agreement with you that all EV automakers need to have an emergency avenue to avoid a toddler to suffer being trapped inside of an auto.

Yeah, my understanding is that firefighters had to bust out the window to save the child, drastic measures that should have been easily avoidable. @Deepizzaguy

@jnrdutton I know what you mean since I do not own an EV.

I am very happy that my bathroom can be opened from the outside with a simple coin. Autos can“t have this but they should have an easy devise for firemen.

EVs continue to be problematic for a variety of reasons. The sad part for the fans of it is that EVs cause more harm to the environment than their fossil fuel counterparts. Except those "idiots", as I like to call them, think the electricity just comes from an outlet.
They don't consider the Earth impact of all the mining for the materials to make the batteries, the coal and nuclear that is used to generate the recharging power, the amount of diesel used in the mining and transport process of battery materials, or the fact that batteries cannot be recycled and are otherwise buried, causing toxic materials to seep into the aquifers.
Oh well.

Where were the parents? Why was the toddler in the car alone?
