Well, just barely. Over the past few days, I've been staying in bed a little longer and giving George some time to himself on the couch. Allowing him to wake up slowly. It's been a bit of a struggle getting the routine back to some sense of normal. Friday I'm going to have to get up alongside him and get his tube done early, because we have that doctor's appoitment. But, I didn't go to sleep I'm getting used to being awake when George is and doing what George does. Before I used to get up two to three hours after he did and got most of my sleep then. Things have changed a lot since becoming a caregiver, too. Needless to say, I think we'll get there.

Becoming a caregiver has changed my sleep patterns as well. There are just times when I am really exhausted, if he has been really ill...when he sleeps, I often try to rest as well. It's just what we have to do to hopefully get them where they want to be. Like you said, you'll get there.

When my husband became I'll, it was an adjustment. But eventually he had to go to a nursing home.

George are in a place where that isn't happening. I can take care of George alright on my own. I don't hink I'd ever put him in a home, I don't think he'd live long there. We like people, but we are to private and independant as well. We like our freedom.

I doubt my pattern will change when my husband gets home except for having to do more. Have a good week.
