We Had a Harsh Storm This Morning

When I went to City Park this morning, there was a violent storm brewing. I found a safe place to park my jeep, out of the intense winds! The trees were bending low:( I had to use the bathroom, but McDonald's and Wal Mart were closed. Burger King closed, shortly after I used their bathroom. Again,, I returned to my safe place! Gazing out over Lake Huron, I spotted a waterspout. This is a cloud that forms into a tornado over the water and hopefully it doesn't move towards land Was I afraid? Nope. I have a new attitude. When it's time for me to go to heaven, the Lord will take me up. Only He knows the exact day and time Am I depressed? Nope. Instead, I'm trusting God to handle things. In the palm of his hand I'm being kept safe, regardless of what's going on. I'm no longer afraid Photo: Borrowed from Pixabay

Yikes/ At least you are safe. Storms don't scare me, but I still wouldn't want to be out in one if I didn't have to be.

I wouldn't be safe nestled up in an old trailer! They aren't even as safe as a vehicle. And I wasn't driving or getting wet, I was safely parked behind a high, brick wall. The wind couldn't hammer on my jeep.

@kobesbuddy My husband would call trailers walby boxes and despite his parents living in one for years, he never could. WHen we bought our house, we decided on a fixed house. we couldn't be happier here.

@kaylachan We had to find a rental, after selling our home. This was all we could afford, not much was available! $800 per month plus utilities, for a dumpy trailer! I call it our rusty soup can:(

That's a great photo. We lived on the lake for 7 years; and whenever there was a waterspout it was gone by the time I grabbed my camera. I'm glad you aren't afraid or depressed anymore. Have a wonderful day.

Wow, that could have been scary. I have your same attitude now, when it's my time to go I will go, no reasons to be afraid.

@kobesbuddy It is the right attitude, there is nothing we can do to change our destiny.

When the winds picked up, I wasn't safe on the road. So, I parked my car next to a brick wall.

Pixabay gives some fairly nice pictures. I just parked my jeep and waited out the storm. Those winds were powerful!

Nice attitude that you have that when storms come into our lives, you rely on God to get through you the storms.

@kobesbuddy I can relate to dealing with anxiety issues myself when a storm is coming.

I was so frightened, it was causing anxiety. Now, all of that has been dealt with:) When I trust God, there's no need to be afraid!

Good that you are safe. Your faith in God is praiseworthy. It is true that destiny takes its own route and however big, strong or wise we may be, we are tiny in front of God and nature. Have a nice time ahead!

That is a really great photo. I am glad that you remained safe. We had strong winds here this afternoon. No damage here or in our immediate neighbourhood, but some areas of the city lost power.

That sounds scary. I agree with you the Lord is always by me and when the time comes it will come. Another comforting thing is that there are people on the other side waiting for me,

That water spout would be a bit scary. I hope there has been no damage there.
