There was a time we went about looking for dictionaries as one was not enough. We really did not need that many but yes we had a collection - Oxford, Chambers.....the works. They are all languishing collecting dust. We do not look at them any more. As you know all what we now need to do is to go online and make our choice. What's your story? Image credit:

It's true. My dictionaries are gathering dusts. I'm just loathe to throw them away. Books have been part of my childhood. They have given me hours of enjoyment.

I hardly read these days but even those books I used to read are waiting for action - may be I can just give them away

@josie_ I am thinking of giving them to an old age home. I have no video games

@allknowing ~ Good luck with that. How many bookworms do you know? Easier to give away video games.

If I'm doing crosswords I still use my book of antonyms and synonyms atlhough they're easy to find online too.

Off line crosswords perhaps could be better solved with the help of a dictionary off line

@allknowing That's true. I have a 'real' crossword it's awkward to use the computer.

@JudyEv I used to do crosswords while I was working I remember my boss 'breathing down my neck' no double meaning here literally as he too was interested.

Our dictionaries are also gathering dust, we do not look at them, but they are still there, just in case.
