KENYA HAS DEPLOYED POLICE TO HAITI

Well, the first contingent of Kenyan Police landed in Haiti on 26/06/2024. It is on a mission to pacify gangs and restore peace in the gang-controlled Caribbean nation. As a Kenyan I feel so proud that we are able to contribute to global peace. However, I am also worried if the mission will be achieved. Barriers include language barrier and hostility of the Haitians. There are also fears of heavy gun battles between Haitian Gangs and Kenya Police. What should we expect? Time will tell.

Haiti has always been a terrible place where people are poor and gangs control the territory. I wish good luck to the Kenyan Police working there.

It is disturbing to think that a nation is controlled by gangs. I hope your police will be able to do some good.
