We went to the big Tesco again yesterday. It was very hot so I didn't take a coat. I had some letters to post first, and after I'd done that I got rid of the soft plastic recycle. Mum went and got a trolley and we went up on the lift..
We got some flowers first. Chrysanthemums. We got one lot with white and purple flowers and another one with yellow and pinkish red flowers. (See picture above.)
Mum wanted to get a book by Michael Palin for Syd for their anniversary which is this Sunday, so she went to look for that while I went to look for some magazines. I got a Doctor Who magazine and the Leisure Painter and The Artist magazines which were together as a package again. Then I went to see if Mum had found the book yet. She had. It is a paperback and it was £5.50 which was about half price because the price on the back said £10.99. Then at the end of one of the isles I saw some large pink and blue water bottles. I said to my Mum, Why don't you get one of these for dad? He's always going upstairs with a glass of water. So we got the blue one. (Not the pink!)
I went and got a bottle of water, then I looked for my prawn layered salads, and they'd moved them again! They were now further down the isle near the end, and when I did find them I could only get 2. Mum also found some chocolates for Syd for their anniversary.
Then we went to look for some cards. My Mum wanted an anniversary card for Syd, and as she was looking for one I saw some that said Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad. I said I could get s card from here but then you'd know what I'd got. And Mum said I'll go and look for a birthday card for Dawn and you can get a card without me seeing. So I did that and hid the card upside down with the envelope on top so Mum couldn't see it and then put it under the book. Then I went back to where my Mum was and said, Didn't you want one of my cards for Dawn? Mum also got a card that said Home Sweet Home on the front of it in pretty lettering for the couple across the road for when they move back in. Inside it says something like Many Happy Years Ahead.
My Mum then went to fetch some wrapping paper. I found a present bag big enough for all the presents to go in, but Mum still got some wrapping paper too. Some of it was just like tissue paper and I don't know how she'd be able to wrap anything in that without ripping it! But she did get some sturdier wrapping paper too.
Then I went and got some pads for my Mum and some panty liners for me, and then we went to the fruit and veg section and got the usual stuff, and I got 3 lots of edamame beans instead of just the two because of not being able to get one of the prawn layered salads.
Next I went and got my yoghurts and Mum's milk, and Mum got her puddings for Sunday. Then I got 2 lots of the fridge raiders meat free bites. Mum got some ready meals. Then I got some cumin and Mum got some mayonnaise and some tomato ketchup.
After that I got a pot noodle, some sardines and a tin of spring veg soup for Syd. And then it was off to the cakes. I got 2 vegan cup cake things for me for Saturday and Sunday, and Mum got some cream donut things, but not the round ones. They're the same shape as an eclair, and she also got a small round sharing cake.
Then we got some crisps, and I got 2 boxes of Matcha T-bags and my Love, Corn. Mum.found some vegan hot chocolate for me but I don't know when I'm going to have it with this weather! She also got some coffee. Then we got a large bag of liquorice allsorts for Syd.
Next we went to the frozen section and I got my vegan magnum ice lollies. I also got some salmon chunks and salmon skewers. Mum got some battered fish. Then I went and got some toilet rolls and washing up liquid.
After that we went to pay. Mum stood at the end of the isle while I was putting things on so no-one else started putting things on before we'd finished, and then everything was on she went and sat on a bench so.she wouldn't see what card I'd got. I payed and went back to my Mum.
We were late finishing because of getting all the extra stuff and it was already 4:40pm! I went and swapped my book at the Tesco book swap as quickly as possible and then tried to get Syd's water bottle into my bag so he wouldn't see it but it wouldn't fit! I'd already got my magazines, my book and Mum's book, the chocolates and my bottle of water on there, and Syd's water bottle is very big! So I got some of the stuff out of one of the shopping bags in the trolley and put Syd's water bottle at the bottom of there, and then covered it up with the groceries again so that Syd wouldn't see it!
We hurried to the lift! Another old couple came in with us. The old man motioned to his wife to press the down button but she pressed the alarm instead!
It went beep beep! My Mum said You've pressed the alarm by mistake! She said, I don't think it registered though! But the old man said, Yes, it did. It went beep beep, and I said, Somebody's going to think we're in trouble now! The old man pressed the down button quickly and we proceeded to go down and we exited the lift. Just as we were coming through the doors to the underground car park a Tesco employer with a small square white device into which she was talking was coming in, and I presume she was coming to see who was trapped in the lift!
We went out quick and raced to the car.
Obviously Syd was already there as we were so late! It was probably 4:50pm when we got in the car. Mum apologised for being late and said we had to get more stuff this week!
When we got home we unpacked the groceries and put them away. I had managed to stop Syd from seeing the water bottle! I emptied out my bag and gave Mum her things. I hope those chocolates aren't melting in this heat!
My Mum went to the house group last night. Frances was late picking her up because she had to fetch Brenda and Brenda's cat was out and she had to coax him in before she went out!
Later on that night I had one of my vegan magnum ice lollies and it disintegrated in the heat! The chocolate pieces on the sides were sliding down! I think I managed to eat it without making too much mess!
Later I put out the new flowers and I went out to put the old flowers and the off cuts into the garden waste bin in the middle of the night. My Mum was back from house group by then.
It's art class day again today. We're doing an "old banger" in watercolour and pastel pencils.
What are you lot getting up to today?
I hope you are all well.
Have a nice day.

@sharonelton - I know it was the old lady to press the wrong button, but better not to be "suspected".

Oh, thank you very much. I'm glad you think so.
Yes, I didn't want to get told off for wasting their time!
Not that it was my fault! It was the old lady who pressed the alarm button!

You had quite a day! Nothing planned except to watch the debate between Biden and Trump tonight. Have a good day.

Yes, that would have been embarrassing! I've always wondered what would happen if you pressed the alarm button!
