A sign in Philadelphia on Interstate 95 that has been corrected by the Penn DOT

I guess that the employees of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (Penn DOT) are human beings who misspelled the word Central with the word Cenrtal which attracted the attention of motorists who were driving in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday. The Penn DOT said that were they were sorry for error since they were rushed to put the sign of the Interstate 95 on the Cottman ramp. No harm and no foul since the error of the word Cenrtal with the word Central recently. Link is upi.com/5541719338270 via @upi

Provided that sign was made in Philly, in defence of my fellow Philadelphian, we don't pronounce the T in Center, so that may be where his/her mind went when adding the letters.

I'm glad they apologized for the misspelled word. I wonder if they will change the sign.

I think that the correct version of the sign was placed on the off ramp the next day.

I sometimes see spelling mistakes here on signs. You'd think they'd have people to check such things before they install the signs.

You have to wonder how many people this got past that no one, except for drivers, recognized the error. I mean, a guy had to design the sign. It had to be checked by someone. It was then sent to the printer or whatever they do and they missed it. It was received by someone in the DOT to install it. It was loaded up by someone to the truck. Probably two or three guys installed it. NO ONE NOTICED THE ERROR THROUGH ANY OF THAT?

You'd think someone would have caught the error.
