The Project 2025 has some real possible tax surprises. I read an article this morning about the possible impact this Project 2025 Blueprint could have on Americans tax-wise if Trump regains the Presidency. I have listed four things that could change that we have been enjoying for a long time:
* The low and middle-class households could pay significantly higher taxes under the proposals of Project 2025.
* The Child Tax Credit could also be eliminated and that would mean that they would pay $6,600 additional compared to the tax system as it is today.
* Corporate taxes could be cut from 20% to 18%.
* Also eliminating credits for green energy projects and the Federal Reserve's mandate as well as a possible U.S. consumption tax like a national sales tax.

I remember when the Republicans used to be for lowering taxes for everyone. Now it’s “tax everybody but the rich.”

Yeh, the Republican party has gone bonkers. They may split into two factions before long.

@FourWalls My parents always voted Republican, until that major change happened. Then, they started voting Democratic, to keep their property taxes from being hiked.

After reading your post, I don't find much difference between the US and India mentality. What you said is the middle class will have to pay extra taxes. And we are doing the same here.
Also, as Kharla Jolly mentioned, what else can we do but pay those extra bucks. Nothing is more different here too.

I'm sorry to hear that other countries are doing this. What we can do is fight to elect those who won't raise the taxes. But, the scary thing here is that if Trump gets into office there may not be another election.

@abhi_bangal .........If Trump is elected he has stated that he wants to change things and become an authoritarian, a dictator. If so there will be no more elections. You really need to read up on Project 2025 and the many changes he wants to make if he is re-elected. This is why I am working so hard to try to make people aware and not to vote for him. And, now with the changes the Supreme Court has made it becomes even more scary. Our democracy is at risk if he is elected.

Economy is quite a complicated topic and I don't think I am quite qualified to talk on that. I am saying this because we talked about taxes and elect those people who raise the taxes. But to run the government, to run the country, there need to be taxes that should suffice the entire people. Otherwise, the development work would come to a halt.
Anyway, I didn't understand this thing - if Mr. Trump gets elected again won't there be another election again in the future? Are you changing your laws there, in the first place?

When we get tax hikes, all we can do is pay up.

That's not all we can do. We can elect people into office, both locally and nationally, that won't make taxes higher.

@kobesbuddy .......We still need to vote. I personally need to know that I have done everything I can to keep a possible dictator out of the office of President. I have a vote and I am going to use it to vote for democracy.

@celticeagle We certainly can vote, but who knows if those votes get legally counted?

The Republicans have always been pro-businesses. This project does not look good. Have a good weekend.

It certainly does not. He wants to completely undo the constitution and put his enemies in jail just for starters.
