A Toddler Made me Smile Today

I was sipping the last of a cup of coffee,, sitting in my jeep at City Park. They put a swivel of a fake dog on the lawn last year, to keep crows away from the garbage cans. And it works good! Today, a toddler waddled over to this artificial dog. She squatted down and spoke kind, sweet words into its face. She continued to gently pet its back and head. She kept circling around it, for about fifteen minute. That tyke didn't realize, it wasn't a real dog! I watched her for about 1/2 an hour, while her family just basically sat on a picnic table, enjoying their time at Tawas Bay. Art Linkletter was always amazed by children, whatever they say or think. I feel the same thing, children are always learning and quite often they make me smile:) Today, I was thoroughly entertained, watching this precious toddler:) Photo: Borrowed from Pixabay
