Hi, Hello , Im back again and I have something I would like to share with fellow Lotters. Yesterday was my cousin's birthday, no grand celebration just a simple one. He bought food for us and we are very thankful. On the other hand, I still prepared food for our lunch. I reheated some viands and one of those was my favorite , dumplings. Mom ordered them to her friend and it was delicious. Dumplings play a special role in my life , it saved me from starving during my trainee days at work. Its hard being a trainee during that time everything must be on a budget , good thing I found out about a store who sells dumplings at that time at a reasonable price and thats why I saved on food. For two months since Im a trainee I only ate dumplings and rice and water of course. Fortunately, I passed the training and after two months I can buy decent food thru my salary. Its a learning experience too. So everytime I eat dumplings and I always buy and eat dumplings it brings back those memories. I learned alot because of that experience. How about the readers and Lotters here do you have food that can bring you back to those time that you have no money at all? How did the food taught you about being thrifty and to spend your money wisely?

It must be very hard being a student and having very little money for food.

@iKONICNoona A little bit of hardship here and there doesn't hurt anyone really. It's a good character-building experience.

@JudyEv Truth. But kids should experience that once in their lifetime so that they can understand the value of not only money but patience and hardwork too.

I have to admit, these look and sound quite delicious. As for being thrifty? It's just a way of life for me and applies to everything. Not just food.
