Monopoly? Risk? Or Bridge? What were your favorites?

In my family, we played Monopoly when I was a kid. I was a monster and would DESTROY you with my Oranges and Yellows. Boardwalk and Park Place were my pretties only at the end, when I knocked you out of the game. I had captured them a few moves before, when Ally had landed on Marvin Gardens after getting out of Jail.
Later, we graduated to Bridge, which I have not played in years. I enjoyed the "teamwork" aspect, but never got to know the nuances beyond the "Blackwood Convention," which I can barely remember.
What were your favorite board games and card games when you were growing up?

I love any word games; and Scrabble was a favorite. My now SIL and I played Pinochle all the time. I can't remember how to play now. We also had a game called 99. Have a good day.

@TheHorse My husband doesn't like to play games at all; so I play them on the computer.
