The Westfield Police Department answered a call from a concerned person about a Burmese python that was seen outside of a home on Tuesday July 9.
After the police officer saw the python outside the home on Barley Circle, the Exotic Animal Rescue and Pet Sanctuary were called to take the python away from the home and taken to a sanctuary where the owner of the snake can be found and reunite with its owner.

@LeaPea2417 They are dangerous killers, that's their inner nature to kill and swallow whole.

That is a good question why anyone would want to have a snake for a pet in the first place.

At least, it might keep the burglars at bay, but a snake this big, might eat some of the wildlife in the area too, and should never be allowed to freely slide around like that. The irresponsible owner should be fined.

I'm glad the python was rescued. They can be dangerous to a small animal such as a dog.
