Firefighters in Tallahassee Florida answered an emergency call on Friday overnight when a house on Wade Road caught fire.
By the time that the firefighters arrived at the single story house, the occupants had gotten out of the house as well as one of their two dogs safely.
The firefighters were able to rescue one dog that was chained up for safety reasons by using bolt cutters to free the dog and reunite the dog to its owner safely.
Thanks to the teamwork of the Leon County Sheriff's Office, Leon County EMS, Talquin Electric Cooperative and the Lake Talquin Volunteer Fire Department they were able to assist the victims of the house fire as well as the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the authorities.

The firefighters were well prepared with bolt-cutters in their truck, the dog would have been panicking chained up like that in danger from the fire.
